Lost a horse

Not me but the next door neighbor. The horse died in it's stall in the barn. Neighbor was pulling the horse out for burial. Seems his foot got stuck under the door. When the hoof popped loose the shoe hit the guy in the temple killing him. Now I have a dead neighbor killed by a dead horse.

Wow, now that is not even close to what I was expecting to read. I have lost horses, and had to pull them out of stalls, but never, ever would have even considered that happening. Condolences to your neighbors family, for loosing both of them.

Would never have considered a dead horse hoof/shoe to be lethal. Sorry to hear of this.

We had one needing to be put down about 5 years ago, it came down to the wire and my biggest fear was getting him out of the stall having been delayed with him still in the barn. Thankfully, that did not happen, finally got help to assist with this very unpleasant task.
