hydraulic flow rate

When hydraulic flow rate is figured, what engine rpm is it based on. I am assuming same as when pto is at 540 rpm. Correct??

Gear pumps have a cu in per revolution rating and are very linear, so that is a fair assumption.

If it's the internal pump, factory equipped, I would assume it would be rated at full engine RPM. Your owners manual or shop manual should give that info, better check than to trust my assumption.

But if it's an external pump, as in for a loader or other accessory, you'll need to find a model number on the pump and research the displacement per revolution, then multiply that by the RPM it will be driven.

Engine driven pumps have a rating too, you just need to know the count on the crank, cam and pump gears.
