Little help here please. Trying to post a video in classic view. Tried photobucket with the optional video embed and came back with its a link and not video file. Then tried upload video /browse but came back with name too long or not mov, mpv or some thing like that.

one way to post a link to a video and not the video itself...in modern view: post video link, high light the link then right click on URL button. I think just posting the link gives the dial up users a choice of skipping the video.

The YT forums are able to receive and show videos a couple of different ways.

One method is to copy the video web location and paste the location in the [b:654c4848f0]Optional Link URL:[/b:654c4848f0] dialog box provided below the [b:654c4848f0]Message:[/b:654c4848f0] box.

The [b:654c4848f0]Link:[/b:654c4848f0] will appear at the bottom of the page under your post.

Another method is to copy the video web location and paste the location between the quotation marks in the HTML code shown below.

This is the method I prefer because <a href="https://youtu.be/PlcFC8Di37s">the video link can be placed anywhere within the body of the message</a>.

You can use the <a href="http://www.yesterdaystractors.com/dbtest/wwwboard1.html">[b:654c4848f0]Test Forum[/b:654c4848f0]</a> on this web site to practice creating these video links.

Hope this helps.
