changed email from windows live to outlook. had server problems with windows..the question now is how do you get rid/delete the popup ad that appears on the right side of the screen, drives me nuts.. have not found a way to delete it thanks for any help. have a good day

it is on he right side of the screen it may not be called a popup because Microsoft has designated the space for ads.. I can click on it to delete it. it is a bother to do each time

It must be something newer than what I have. I have been using Outlook Express on this XP laptop for nine years, there have never been any ads on the screen. I just tried to load a current copy of Outlook to see if it was different but Microsoft reminded me that XP is out and they want me to upgrade, nope. Also tried to load a screen shot of my Outlook on here for comparison but YT says it is not the correct format (picture). Since I can't duplicate your situation, I can't look for an answer. Hope somebody else has had your trouble and can advise you.

Outlook is a professional email client and has NO space or allowance for ads. What you are seeing is probably the preview or reading pane. Turn it off under the View menu item.

int: there are more than a handful of people out there that don't know the difference between OUTLOOK and OUTLOOK EXPRESS!!

well I am using outlook.com,that is what it says at the top of the page and there is a place on the right side of the page that is used by Microsoft for ads. you can click and delete the ad, but another one pops up. there is an explanation by Microsoft about the ad.. there is a way not have ad pop along side your email, but Microsoft wants $19.95 for that.
