Sturgis Fire

Aren't most of those bars closed 50 weeks of the year? Only open during the rally? They probably figured to get out on a high note. 75th anniversary was over. No more giant crowds for the foreseeable years to come. TV show was wrapped up for the season. Insurance and upkeep for another year on an empty building. Still have the land/location to sell to the next sucker. Sounds like a good business decision to me. (if you don't get caught) Many businesses now days not only have property insurance but loss of revenue insurance. Based on last year's revenue and the TV deal, they'll probably live off the insurance money for a long time without the headaches of running the bar. Or.......it could just be faulty wiring.

I was in that bar last Memorial day,, It was kinda nasty in there a lot of junk piled here and there,,regular maintenance was not a primary issue,,and the place was large..

I enjoyed the show, kinda, back when it was on.

If the show was any indication as to their motivations in life, I too hope he hid the extra matches well...... ;)

Full Throttle was one of a very few who open up late April/early May until late Sept to mid October or so. I drive past every day to work.

I'll stand corrected but even the TV news crew said it was only open 10 days a year. Can't imagine a tv reporter getting the facts wrong. (sarcasm)
