1206,

Thanks for the pictures and all of the information. It's really interesting to see what's going on in places other right next door.

Smart buy on the sockets and wrenches.

For over 20 years I worked with a real nice lady that grew up on a farm at the west edge of Jerico Springs...Her last name was Grey and she graduated from Stockton HS in 1979..

blaine, i would say the prices should have made satisfied buyers and sellers.
nice that it has finally dried out there. how are the crops to harvest?

Bill, the corn yields are all over the place....The poorly drained fields are making 70-100 bushels per acre while some of the better drained ones are making 130-170 bushels per acre..Lots is still too wet (20-25% moisture) to harvest..None has been harvested on my farm but a neighbor has done 320 acres..

To have a good early bean crop we need a rain this week..Some early beans never got planted and lots of after wheat beans didn't get planted..Lots of beans will be lucky to beat a freeze..The wheat yields were 50-70 bushels per acre but after all the dock some only got $1.00 per bushel..How are things up your way?

this part of new york has some outstanding looking corn, until you come to the poorly drained parts of the field where the corn is stunted and yellow. overall, good corn, but nothing ready to combine yet, silage corn is still a couple weeks off, too. beans are looking good, just starting to turn in a few places. we have had a hard time this summer, getting enough dry days in a row to make much dry hay, but haylage has been good, most have cut haylage fields 4x already.
