So my two oldest sons (11 and 14) ventured down to Rantoul on Sunday... thank you to all who helped make that show happen. Many of you spent a lot of time and money just to participate with your equipment- not counting all the effort to preserve and restore it!

Thank you. You deserve a lot of applause.
 
I AGREE COMPLETELY and want to thank the people that put on the Half Century of Progress show, ALL the people that bring their equipment and all the vendors that make this an EXCELLENT show.

Just wondering if you sent the boys on a golf cart/UTV or a tractor? No offense intended

Guess I mis-wrote that... I took them. I guess the golf cart/gator thing was the one thing I didn't care for. It was a big show, but you needed to watch where you walked, or you were in front of someone on a gator. I'm not used to that.
 
I was surprised at how friendly the gate people were, I know working those gates couldn't have been easy and if they didn't allow golf carts, gators and a multitude of other vehicles there would be no show.
 
Dean Blackford is in charge of parking and he got a workout Friday. We had records Thursday and Friday with Friday morning being overwhelming.

Yes, the people at the gates are wonderful, working LONG hours. I try to give them and other workers my wife's brownies when I get there to keep them going every day. But this did not just start Thursday. 2017 is in the planing now.

You meet people from everywhere. I bought a tractor from a guy in Cheyenne, WY, that came this year. First time I had meet him in person. While loading my tractors Sunday, 5 from WA state stopped to visit.

Most of all, thank you all that came, in person or with machines. It is unique in the way this much ground is farmed and has drawn much fame from afar. The directors should be commended for the great job. Thank you all.

Greatest Show on Earth! Bar none. Went to FPS tuesday also. And yes took a lifted electric cart. Also came in a SUV. Didn't walk. Vic
