crappy cell phone service

i thought i had made a good move to METRO PCS. cheaper several stores locally. Sunday my phone acted up. Sporaticallty not able to receive or get calls. Went to the closes store, expecpting to exchange my 60 dy old phone. NO,we'll fix it. 2 hours later I'll replace it. 3 were on the shelf. No,have to order one in. WHAT??? Company policy insist we order one in,5-7 days maybe. Called the district rep;same deal.I have a POS phone,10% service. stay away from METRO PCS.

I have had Metro PCS for about 6 or 7 years. They do have some odd policies, but don't blame the store. Blame the parent company. The only complaint I have had is that there are some poor coverage areas not far from me. Otherwise, I have been completely satisfied. Much better than shelling out to one of the rip off companies. I was robbed for years by a couple of them.

Unfortunately we're stuck with Verizon because they're the only carrier with coverage where I work. When you spend you days with 6 million chickens you're in the wilds not much for cell or internet services.

It's best to do a thorough research of what cell providers do and do NOT work in your area before purchasing a phone. Tech service should be researched also.
I live in an area where cell phone service is marginal by two and only two companies. AT&T and Sprint, some of the begger names in the industry absolutely do not work here.
Whenever my sister or my nephew visit me, their Sprint phones are completely out of service for the entire time they are here. They can't even get a text in and out.

The worst service I've gotten was with straight talk. I bought a phone and activated it and it worked fine for about a year and I broke it, my fault. The service though came through AT&T which is the only service tower in my area. I bought a new phone, same make and model and thought I could just transfer the sim card to the new phone. It seems they kill the sim card and you have to start over with a different phone. The problem I had was it was my business phone and I wanted to keep the same number. I went through customer service and they managed to transfer my phone number to the new phone but in the process they switched the service to team mobile so then I couldn't get service. I went back to customer service and they ordered me another sim card which I had to wait a week for and they switched the service back to AT&T but in the process gave me a new phone number. I went back to customer service and had them send me another sim card. This time I carefully explained the problem I had been having and gave them the phone number I had to have and the service I had to have. This time they gave me another new phone number and switched the service back to team mobile. I finally resolved the situation by trashing the phones and going to AT&T. It's been a year now and since I changed phone numbers so many times I can never remember my own phone number anymore. I get parts of different phone numbers mixed with each other. No telling how many customers I lost in the ordeal.
