Baling 3rd cut alfalfa

Baling third cutting alfalfa today, finish up tomorrow. My kind of haying weather, partly cloudy and breezy, low humidity and high of 75 degrees! Small squares not too bad in these conditions!

I was going to cut some when I got home this afternoon. The light rain that started as I drove in the drive changed my mind. Didn't last long but once I change my mind ---

perfect weather here in SE PA too. Knocked down my last 6 acres of 3rd cut. The leafhoppers burned it alittle. And I did spray. They were bad here this year.

I do have a question: I have 1 field of alfalfa 3 years old now. I planted grass / alfalfa mix but most of the orchard grass died that 1st winter. The thing is the alfalfa tends to fall over. My other grass / alfalfa fields do not have this problem. Does the grass help with standability ? I did plant a different brand and wonder if some brands simply stand better.
