Satoh 650G serial number help ????

Satoh 650 G ...... have a 6-digit serial number that I'm hoping somebody can ID the year of manufacture for me:

4016xx (don't remember the last two digits).

And this has the hard-to-find-parts-for Mazda pickup 1000cc engine from the 1970's, is that correct?

It does have a Mazda engine, not sure about pickup version, but it is used in Yale forklifts. That is the only other use I know of. And really hard to find parts, other than points, plugs.

You can get most parts from Valley Power in VA. I wasn't able to find much on this site for them sadly.

Very knowledgeable people there about these tractors. Theres also a lot of helpful in on there website.

The engine is a Mazda Industrial Engine, was also used in a Yale Forklift for a year or 2.

Generic tune-up parts and alternator can be obtained from NAPA auto parts or your nearest auto parts store. But the guy who looks up the stuff will need to know how to use the book, not the computer for some of it. Somewhere I have a list of all the NAPA numbers for points, belts, condensor, the alternator, and some other common parts.
