Always appreciate your pictures, I'm 500 miles to the west over in far SW MO, and I can see what's on the way. Thanks.

How far away from harvest are the soybeans? From pictures and comments that other people post, it seems like it will be an early fall in many areas.

I think you're in Indiana, so you're something like two states over to the east. The earth rotates to the east, towards your way, therefore the sun rises for you before me. I appreciate your pictures.
Either that or I'm livin' on Tulsa time..... [ sorry, bad pun, but Tulsa is a short distance further weat of me.]

Beautiful photo.

I like that time of dawn (or dusk), when the sky looks like a watercolor background with scenery drawn on it with black ink.

George recall we are on double fast time. Years ago to settle the time thing public voted to use so called fast time year around. Mitch Daniels took it on himself to persuade lawmakers to advance ANOTHER hour in warmer months. Now for most of the year we are TWO hours faster than when I was young. So called summer fast time is now much more than summer, starts in march till october. Thats a long summer!!!

The beans in pic were planted after the winter wheat, so they are behind. No beans have turned yet. We need a good rain. This morning I saw 3 irrigation pumps running which may be responsible for some of the fog.

The closest pump is over a mile away, but the cool mornings the diesel engine sounds like it's 100 ft away.

Starke county is one of those counties on slow time. Guess you could say they get the Darwin award for being a slow county..
