Spent eight hours today getting caught up on the weed cutting.
The old Ford 335 w 951 cutter, ran great as always.

Solid old workhorse,

Nice!
By that era most of them were getting to be diesels so a gasser is less common.
Gasser is much more pleasant to run.
Also,
It's interesting to see how the higher tin setting makes the tractor look bigger.
Higher tin setting and of course that heavy front axle. It's basically a 3600 but looks like a much more substantial tractor.

Nice job cutting the grass. Where's the rocks? If I had a job like that I would need to drop a few rocks around, to feel at home. Stan

Thanks for the comments.
Bought this Ford from a IDOT auction in 2000, to replace the
IH 2444 I wore out. which replaced a Ford 8N.
Been cutting our properties for over 45 years.
So far routine maintenance and a Hyd pump issue a couple of years ago in which you fine folks helped me diagnose and rebuild the pump.

Ultradog MN , I wanted a Diesel but were selling for twice the money, as they often do.
The 3cyl. gas engine is impressive in it's durability and power.
Thanks for the info on the 3600. I thought they were a 3000,
But I'm learning on the Ford models.

37Chief,
HAHA There are plenty of rocks around. In fact I finally had to change the blades after I had a brain fart last week and broke one.

Gordo,SN.,
Yes it's on one of Dad's properties.
About 20' deep and 1.3 acres.
It's adjacent to a state retention pond that cannot be seen behind the weed line in picture one, which is the edge of the bank.

I would like to sure like to find an "organ donor" with that front axle and rop. Would put it on my 2600 that came to me with a bent up front end... What size rear wheels does that tractor have? -Wonder if
they were the same height as the ag front end?

Rears are 14.9x24 Front 16"

Never knew about the heavy front end.

335 Parts are hard to find. I try and use 3000,or now I learned 3600 for most. What model would that axle be in?
I recently lost a front outer dust cover and had a hard time finding one that fit. The one I found does fit but not the same as the other side.
