To30 furguson power steering

Unless it has a loader it rarely is needed, that is IF everything is greased and working right, grease your spindles, and check the lube and condition of your steering box, these tractors are not heavy and steer easily without it if right but a few dry components and it gets tough
 
I have a TO30 and loader with a BIG bucket, and fully loaded I can get by, just steer when you're moving. Unloaded, steering should be cake.

I moved a stump today and steering was effortless.

Thanks for the info I greased everything I could find
mine has a loader also but I'm a big guy and it takes
about everything I got to turn so there must be
something else going on with it. I think the people I
bought it from didn't do any maintenance on it.

There is a screw on the steering gear assembly to adjust the meshing of the steering sectors. (A nut holds that screw in place once set.) I know from experience that if one accidentally tightens that screw down way too far it can make the steering a beast to turn. It's worth a try to adjust it if you haven't yet. Completely free and just a couple of minutes or less.

If you jack the front wheels both off the ground at the same time how easily do they turn?

There's a bearing at the bottom of the spindles that was shot on both sides of my TO30. It was ripped up with pieces floating around. Perhaps that could make it steer harder than usual as well, especially with a loader. They aren't expensive or hard to replace if that were your issue.
