Firestone Original 3 Rib Tires

Does anyone know for a fact what year Firestone came out with the 3 Rib tire with the notched shoulder for the 5.50 16 rims?

I have a 2 cylinder '37 unstyled JD A and was curious if they were available then or not until later with the styled series. Maybe you saw some on the unstyled tractors later when they replaced the factory pair?

they were available when I left the tire shop 10 years ago. they had started making them again.

I don't know precisely, but would guess in the early 1940s.

maybe ask some of the tire shops that are now carrying them. Maybe some old timer in those shops might remember.

3-rib came on our 1946 W4 IH and on our 1948 G. Don't know when they started making them.
