I lost the darn thing AGAIN,
217-778-8805.
Please try calling repeatedly,
its dark out.
I'm going back to a landline,
or tie this to a big piece of pipe.
For real, would somebody try callin me?
I don't know many folks, and should find this.
Second time in a week, this is bad.
217-778-8805, Danny.
Any help appreciated.
If it goes to voicemail straightaway,
the battery probably fell out, and I'll be searchin later,
but if not, please keep callin til I pick up,
this is stupid, but true. Thanks

dbernie- I linked a web site for you that auto dials your cell phone when you lose yours. There
are many of these web sites on the 'net', so it must be a pretty common thing to happen. Good
luck!

I cant hear the darned thing if anyone called,
I'll have to wait for daylight.
Thanks anyways, worked last time.
if I find it this time, Im getting rid of it.
just too small, at least for me.

Similar problem today, myself. Company cell phone is somewhere, but not where its supposed to be. And I'm on call, so if they're calling me, I'm not getting it. At the end of the day, I reached for it and grabbed air. Tried calling it in the office, no ring. Went out to the company truck and had someone else call it, no ring. Last I remember seeing it was on the front desk of a customer, but think I grabbed it on the way out, but maybe not. Now here's a good one. I tried calling that customer several times starting at 4:30. Their auto-attendent says that they are open from 8:00 - 5:00, Monday through Friday. From 4:30 - 5:00, no matter what I pressed, I got no one. As bad as the economy is, if no one can reach you, you're business is going to be hurting. I'm their phone guy, but I never call them, they call me to fix something if its broken. Today is the first time that I tried calling them to see if they had my company phone...and they are broken. I wonder if they know it. If they don't, they will tomorrow when I stop by to look for my phone.

Good luck.

Mark

I put mine in a holder (from Home Depot) and tied a lanyard with snap coupling to it and a belt loop. If I drop it it is not going very far, and It has stayed with me for 6 years. Jim

Well, I truly appreciate the help.
Tried that link, still couldn't here it ring,
but have a bit of ground to cover.

I'll wait for daylight,
call it a loss if I have to,
but, get this, I was to stupid to
write the contact numbers down,
had a classic car sold, and a car bought for
my daughter, probably. Can't call either one of them,
probably think I'm backing out, shoot, trailer is hooked up,
I'm ready to go, just couldn't do last confirmation
cause my gd phone is gone.
I must need one that's nailed to the wall,
like the old days.
I'm hopin for daylight, but have my doubts.
I can empathize a bit with a company man on call.
Shoot, my name is Mudd.
I'm writing numbers down next time...
and ain't using one of these things that's
smaller than a pack of smokes.
Its all good, kind of humorous, thanks everyone,
Danny

dbernie- I don't know if you noticed but, on the link I posted, you can select a delay time to
allow you to get outside near where you think you lost your phone. Just select the 'down arrow'
beside the "time to call" button. It will give you a list of delay times to select from.

For some of the recent phone call contacts you might go to your carriers website and look at your itemized bill. If you can recall the times you placed or received calls then you should have the right numbers on the bill. Good luck!

(quoted from post at 01:11:51 08/11/15) I just tried calling. It says your not availible.

Well, I haven't found it in daylight, yet,
but thanks for letting me know it says
not available.
Its either off, or battery fell out from broken cover last time
I lost it.
This should be fun.
I will look around some more...
Thanks all, Danny

OK, lost cause.
Could someone please call Ruth
at 217-352-1872 and let her know
Danny lost his phone?
She's my 89 yr old Mom,
I keep in touch with her.
You can just say that I
posted on Tractor Talk to ask a favor to call.
She'll understand.
Much appreciated if someone would.
I'm still out looking, takin a break.
About to throw in the towel.
Thanks, Danny

(quoted from post at 13:37:35 08/11/15) Just a thought - would a metal detector pick it up?

That's actually going to be my next try,
got to get a battery for the darn thing.

If it rains, or its crushed, won't be much need in wasting
the time, haha.

Guess I'll have to go pick up another one.

Did anyone, by chance, call 217-352-1872,
my Mom Ruth, to let her know the phone is gone?
If she starts bitchin, just hang up, haha.

I really would appreciate that.
I've no need to go to town for awhile,
and this laptop is my only commo.
Thanks, I've give up,
Danny

Seems like you already got rid of it, why bother looking for it?

I'm with you, done looking, the h with it.
Didn't like that phone anyway, haha.

I guess I'll have to get to town,
if I can't get anybody to call grandma...
Let her know Danny lost his phone,
217-352-1872.

Well...
I gave up on finding the phone.
On my way back from mailbox,
near my lane, there it lay.
I walked that twice yesterday
looking for it.
The darndest thing, it still works...

So, I may have missed out on a car sale and jeep buy,
but I found the phone.

I think, my immediate resolution,
is to keep it clipped to a 10x12 clipboard,
til I get a better idea.

Best idea, throw it on the burn pile and forget about phones, haha,
Thanks, Dannhy
