family farm and fleet

What's everyone think about this store? There is one opening locally and was wondering if its better than TSC which is across the street

I think that is the company that started out of the ashes of the CT/QFF takeover and subsequent explosion...

Some of the old QFF guys said they were going to start over from scratch, looks like they did.

From my experience they're a "little" better than TSC. I'm sure somebody will foul them up so they're just as bad.

Hmm. In Illinois, Wisconsin, and I think Iowa, they have "Blaine's Farm And Fleet". Similar to TSC, much bigger though.

Guys you have to remember that the "farm stores" of yesteryear are gone for the foreseeable future. Back when they started there were over 3 million farmers. Now it's less than 100,000. So to stay in business they had to alter their business plans and start catering to other markets like the horse people. You may as well forget ever seeing a true farm store in the next 20 years that will last.

You mean Family Farm and Home? They opened one about a mile away from the TSC in Fenton, MI. It's much bigger than TSC, but not necessarily better. They carry a lot of non-farm stuff, like boating supplies. We were surprised to find they carry chicken feed produced in nearby Armada, MI, and it's cheaper than the brand carried by TSC. Hopefully both stores will stay in business, as it's nice to have a choice.

WE're very lucky here in SW MO to have Race Bros. farm and home. Great supplies, can order anything, chemicals, Stihl, infinite supply of nuts and bolts, Cub Cadet, Husky, plants, Carhartt, vet supplies, etc etc etc.

Thanks everyone I know they're all going to be different I was curious about the quality of stuff thy sell

Doesn't matter what name is on the store front, or who owns the chain. The products they sell all come from the same suppliers.

WE have both Family Farm & Home and TSC within 1/4 mile of each other. I go to TSC once or twice a year. Family Farm and Home almost every week. TSC is higher priced on most items and a smaller store. Both have the same friendly clueless sales people.
