Tractor Tires

I know it's personal preference, but can anyone tell me about a pair of good tractor tires?...12.4 x 36.

I like the Firestone Field & Roads, they don't have the tall lugs that go to the sidewall. They have a curve look across the lugs from rim to rim. But I don't like the price. I would like the traditional type tire if it's still available in this size.

Thanks

Shop around. Firestone's have came down in
price some . Otherwise , the BKT R1 has a
nice look to it . China made but hold up
well I'm told .

Sounds like you would rather like the look of a bias
ply tire. They are cheaper as a general rule. I just
put a set on the 4020. I honestly can't tell you the
brand - whatever the Coop got for me. They are
very "square" and seem to bite well. It's just the fair
weather loader tractor anymore, but I was
impressed with how well they pulled when I had to
drag the loaded hay wagons through a mudhole. I
think they are 45 degree bar or whatever
measurement is close to that. It used to have the 33
degree (or whatever) radials on it and they were
worthless.

I will second the BKT tire for a lightly used tractor. They are a pretty good buy for the money. The only ones I would run from are any titian tires they just seem to be JUNK anymore. I know of several sets that are weather cracked bad and they are not 3-4 years old. I also had asset break a sidewall on a lightly used tractor. The warranty was terrible.

I got Titans with my Branson in '07. This is what they looked like in June with right at a thousand hours on them.

I do not like those Field & Road tires at all, no 23* tires for me. Anything else better.
