I have a farmall f20 that when its running the oil pressure pegs. If you let it warm up the pressure will come down at low idle but if you give it any throttle at all it pegs again. I pulled off all the lines and there looks to be plenty of oil coming out of them, and I even started it without the filter element in it to see if the pressure pegged again and it did. Anyone have any ideas, or is this even going to be a problem. I know that the crankcase is splash lubricated, so as long as I have oil running down the lines and there isn't any leaks anywhere from over pressure should I worry about it.

I put a oil pressure test gauge on it this morning and its reading around 7 lbs idling and about 13 lbs at full throttle. From what ive read that is about normal for that tractor so Im going with a bad gauge.

The F20 oil pressure gauge is only a 15 lb. gauge, I don't think there is anything wrong with yours.
