Lost some thing!!!!!

Well I seem to have misplaced my get-up-an-go. LOL It seems like I am happy watching others go get it as I am getting older. So the last few weeks we really have had good weather in that few of the days have been really hot and humid. I still find myself without much drive to start some of the many projects I have that I could be doing. So I do some morning chores and visit with the boys an amble back home for lunch. Then in the afternoon maybe a short nap and back over to the farm to see what the Grand Daughters are into. Not really getting much done but nothing really pressing to be done either. I guess this is the first time in my adult life I do not have to have ten things done yesterday. LOL So I am kind of taking a LONG summer vacation while at home. Just too bad you have to be an old fart to get these type of jobs. It would have been more fun at forty/fifty. LOL

I know exactly what your talking about.... Things need to be done, but no rush, and no ambition to start them anyway. True Son

I feel the same way JD. 35 years on the road rushing from job to job.Now it is work from 8 to 10. Break for lunch and solving the worlds problems with the boys. Then home for the afternoon nap.Play on the puter then supper and bed.

It was raining when I got home 2 hrs ago. I put the tractor in the garage and I still have not made it back out to the garage to work on it. I might have to take time off from work tomorrow to finish it.

You tiered me out the other day reading about all them trees you cut down.
I know the feeling, I feel guilty if I'm not working or doing something all day long and into the night until dark. I'm thankful I'm still healthy enough to do what I do though. Some days I do just say to heck with it, read a book or do something easy. I seem to enjoy Rain Days.

Yep, don't know why, but lately my 'get up and go' got up and went ! Still manage a little 'something' every day, then I look at the 'list', then I have a beer and go and read my book.

ight sound nice, but don't let the rocking chair get you!

I must admit at 55-1/2 I enjoy sitting down at the end of the day and reading a book. But I feel better if I get something accomplished outside. I started taking Vitamin "E" a week ago and I can feel a change, enough that I noticed it..

Should check with your doctor on the Vitamin E. I was taking it also and he told me to quit taking it. Not so good for you anymore I guess.

Some of the reason we slow down is for pain avoidance. We grow weary of getting a visit from Arthur if we work a little harder or longer than normal.

I know what you are saying. This hot high humidity weather is just sucking the life right out of me. Glad I have most of my tractor work done for this year. About the only work I did today was mow front, and backyards, and change a tire on my old Plymouth. At 73 I guess I am not as young as I think I am. Stan

JD Seller,
Every morning, I get up and go to bathroom. Good thing I still have get-up-and-go.

That's what slowed me down to a crawl, Mr. Arthritis. But this past week we have been enjoying low humidity, low to mid eighties day time temperatures. I felt like a young man again. Hardly a pain in my body. I spent that time modifying a snow bucket to fit on my 340u. I didn't go at it like a teenager, but worked at it a few hours every day. But this morning I'm really suffering. The weather is changing today. The humidity has risen, and there is rain in the forecast. Looks like it's going to be a day spent in a chair today.

They call this our metallic years. Silver in our hair, gold in our teeth, and lead in our butt.

A farmer told his neighbor that his wife was in bed with arthritis.
Neighbor replied.. "too bad...I knowed them Ritis boys and Arthur was the worst one of the bunch".
