Interesting timing.

About 2 weeks before the announcement 4 local HS boys were going to the MN boundary waters for a summer break camping trip. One, 17 was driving his dad's 2011 or 12 Dodge pickup with his fathers blessing. According to his dad his son had driven the truck many times and the father was confident in his son's ability to drive. It was a roll over accident, the driver and another boy were killed. According to eye witnesses it seems he lost control. Drugs and booze have been ruled out. The state is now investigating to see if the reported steering problems are to blame. The father bought the truck new and is now beside himself thinking that the truck he wanted and was so proud of may be the cause of his son's death. Very sad situation.

Its horrible losing a child. Period. I
have had a few Dodges and they never did
drive as nice as other brands. I felt i
had to keep my eyes on the road to keep
it straight.

There are after-market companies that offer steering products specifically for certain Dodge trucks. Mine ("04 3/4 ton) has an issue with some 90 degree curves at anything above posted limits. Shook me up finding that out!

I just had a steering stablizer installed on my 1/2 ton dodge either a 2000 or 2001.It seemed to help with the wandering, although Haven't had it long enough to tell. joe

If only I had my 67 dodge charger maybe they would buy it back... The lower steering arm shaft (pitman arm shaft) snapped clean into the car went round and round then backwards into the woods... I have seen several more that were cracked open and folks were driving them...

Dodge is not famous for there suspension and electrical gremlins..

I tell folks a mechanics ell is having to work on Chrysler's day in day out... There is NO way I would work as a mechanic at a Chrysler dealership...
