Well it's been a good year for blackberries that's for sure. I've been picking for about 2 weeks and some areas are picked out and others are just starting to turn so I will be picking for a while longer. What you see in the picture is 12 2 quart bags and 11 1 quart bags that are washed cleaned when dried then bagged and frozen. The kicker is this is only a 1/3 of what I have picked, Mom has the same amount as me and my aunts have as much or more. It's funny how some blackberries turn red when frozen while others stay black, Never have figured that one out. All I know is when the snow flies a hot piece of blackberry pie or cobbler sure tastes good and warms you up and makes the winter a little more bearable. I wonder how many gallons of berries I have picked so far? When I pick I pick them all, Some people only pick the big ones and wont touch the small ones and I don't care what size they are I just pick them. It don't matter what size they are when you make a pie or jelly you just need the blackberries and lots of them. I hope you enjoy. Bandit
