I got my Google updated. Did the uninstall and re-install method. Now when I look at "About Google Chrome" the message says Google is up to
date and I don't have the error message at the top of my Gmail page.

Lots of good help from you folks and thanks again.

Good deal!

Computers are wonderful tools... when they work properly. Otherwise, makes one want to thump them with a large hammer - Which I assume would NOT be beneficial. LOL.

Having been in the I.T. industry for 25 year I have learned that there is more truth in your saying than most realize. A good friend of mine says it this way:

"Computers allow us to make mistakes faster than any invention in the history of man, other than firearms and tequila"
