Would it benefit me to run some sea foam in my diesel thats sat idle for a year or so with it only starting once about 6 months ago

I'm a religious user of Seafoam. When the coop delivers gas I dump a gallon jug in the barrel. I think everything runs better and it helps the fuel stay fresh for the 6 weeks or so that it is in there.

However...

In a diesel I would go with Howe's diesel additive. It is in a clear jug and is a golden liquid. Or just use it good.

Go over to the iboats.com boating forum and ask that question. You might jump in the boating forum, first one, and say that you have a diesel for power, don't have to say in what, and want to know................ You'll have to log in. Just use your same handle (when they ask for your name) and whatever pass word that suits you. That's where I found out about it back in 2005 and haven't been without it. All the baloney you hear as to it being snake oil is just the mouthpiece showing his ignorance. If you use it you will learn for yourself. Course you could get a whack from the purist that says well it's only alcohol, naptha, and light mineral oil. Go to HD and buy the ingredients and mix your own. Fine let him do his own experimenting. I like it already in the can ready to go.

Next............................boo birds?????????

Yepper then add the SF. Can says 1 oz per gallon, but that's for routine maintenance. I'd put more like 2-3 for the first clean out. It burns. You can use it as starting fluid on 2 strokers as it has the mineral oil that regular starting fluids didn't used to have. They say they have lube now but how much?

My neighbor repairs boat motors and he has made believers out of many people by getting them to use SeaFoam in their tanks. Plus it is easier for him to work on the carbs when they need it done. He doesn't need to replace the fuel lines very often on those that do use SeaFoam. Yes use SeaFoam you will be a believer.

I fixed up a MF65 diesel that had burned in a battery fire and it had sat for a couple years. I never ran it hard until baling hay this summer and I went through two quart of crankcase oil in two hours. Figured the rings may have been stuck so I put a can of Seafoam in the crankcase. Oil level hasn't changed since then and that was 3500 bales ago. Made a believer out of me.

I've also had excellent luck with Seafoam cleaning up marginal carbs on small engines. I usually use about 3-4 times the recommended amount and after a tank or two they are back to running as they should.

I run it in some of my stuff. Does it help ? don't know really can't prove it. I figure it can't hurt so I put it in ! use as the label says.

We suspend a string across the garden to keep elephants out. It's been 100% effective. No Elephants in our garden for over 50 years .I recommend that everybody should do the same.

ve tried it numerous times for different situations and can't tell that it does anything. Marvel Mystery Oil has definitely done me some good though. It has proven itself to me on several occasions and has even MADE me money.
