Grass Hay

View from my back yard baling grass hay. I counted four balers, two stackers and two takes. Custom outfit works for local farmers - Willamette Valley, Oregon. Sorry about the duplicate photo- not sure how to delete.

When I was working in the wheat belt same thing. Had an acquaintance that worked the route. They are serious about their jobs.

Whats the value of the equipment in that field? Takes a lot of hay at $4/small bale to pay for that.

Last year around here (W. Colo.) it was $6 to $8/bale. This year, with lots of rain, it's $4 or even less - Feast or Famine! 8)

They are making big bales. $80 apiece or more. Depends on the market and hay quality.
