Just wondering who was going to go for the YT meet and greet at Rantoul this year?
August 27-30 - Miss it and you will have to wait for another 2 years!

See you there?
Jim

I'll be down there all 4 days. Looking forward to it! Also heard rumors from a few different places and people that this is the last year for the half century show at Rantoul. Most popular rumor i'd been told is that the old air force base had been sold to a developer. You know how rumors go, but as much as its come up in different places it sure makes you think there could be some truth to it. Hope its not true or if it is that they find another place to have a show of similar size and quality.

We have made reservations to go-never been before,I would like to meet some of the people that post on here.We are looking forward to a good show I hope;we went to Red Power Roundup, but I would like to see the machinery along with the tractors working, rather sitting pretty!Mark

I'm planning to make the trip from Kansas. It'll be my first time there and from what I've seen and heard it should be really enjoyable. Unless things change I should be there most all of Friday and Saturday.

I think too it would be nice to put a face with the name of some of the folks who post here.

Hi Kruser, I'll be there Fri. and Sat., maybe we could set a place and time and see if we could get a group together, something like under the flag at 11:30 or after the parade, on Fri. and/or Sat. or open to ideas?

Hi all,

I'm travelling from Ireland to be there. Hoping to be there Fri & Sat. Anyone know what time the tractor pulling finishes on Sat evening. Really looking forward to it. Looks like a great event.

Hey Kruser, hoping to be down Thursday for the day. Got tractor pulling Saturday at home. Got alotta irons in the fire but always a good time down there!

I was to the 2009-2011-2013 shows but won't be going this year.....My 82 year old MIL just had a triple by-pass and I will be home helping my wife take care of her...

Found out today through the chamber of commerce in Rantoul that they have no knowledge of or any plans of anything that would hold up the show's future at the air force base. That was something good to hear. I have no idea where else you could put on a show of this size with the same facilities and area. As of today, the Half Century will continue in Rantoul as it has in the past.
