I'm going to do it!

I'm going to get the moco hooked up and cut some hay tomorrow! The weather guessers say I've got a few days before the next rain. In the last several days we have had a little less than old, so I am skeptical as to whether it is a good idea. I guess we will see. Old, is your forecast clear until Wednesday?

Mowed some with the haybine and it was tough mowing, Brome was heavy, ground was wet and we have mounds of dirt made by little red ants. Never seen them before make a mound of dirt like that. Wind was blowing pretty good and hot, but things not drying very fast.

Cut more than I should have today, bsaed on no rain last night, and a forecast of possible "scattered showers," tomorrow and Tuesday, this morning. Needless to say they changed the forecast this evening. Probably going to put up washed hay later this week.

I have followed rrlund's advice twice so far this year, cut twice in the rain, got it all baled without any rain on it! My wife think's I am nuts, but so far, so good. Only 14 acres left to cut and bale, so far so good. Seems like my yield is down though, not sure if it is because being so late, or so much rain early this year. Hope 2nd is better, although will be end of September before that is ready....
