Farmall MD Clutch Question

Hello Everyone,

Just purchased a MD Farmall and believe something is wrong with the clutch. We pull started it and when it started when pushing the clutch
in the tractor kept going idled it down and the gears ground but got it into neutral. When pushing in the clutch to shift gears all it does
is grind the gears and won't go into gear. I assume something is wrong like pressure plate? Any other ideas?
 
sounds like friction dick is rusted to the flywheel very common if it sat for sometime
easiest way to free it is to drive it around push in clutch petle and apply the brakes till it frees up
second is to open access plates and while holding down the clutch pry it loose with a screw driver
don't ever spray it with oil as hat will mess up the friction disc and will mean spliting the tractor to replace it
 
Sounds like a stuck clutch someone with a little more knowledge will reply but try starting it in gear and work the brakes will free the clutch up sometimes
