I asked this on the combine forum and did not get a response, have any of you with a axial flow CIH combine installed external adjustments for the sieves? If so how do you like them, if not how are you adjusting the sieves.

I have an external adjuster made by Loewen on a 1660. I can not trust it to repeat the same opening on the sieve when switching settings if you just go by the scale on the adjuster. I still open the back door and measure the sieve opening when I need to adjust . Once the sieve is set it does at least seem to stay at that same opening.

Animal I have owned 4 IH axial combines. The present 2366 is the only one with the external adjustments. Thought about putting it on the 1660, never did. I will never own another one without it. Little side door to inspect to make sure you got where you want makes for no crawling under the spreaders and easy to adjust..
