im going to look at a john deere 850 for sale tomorrow, it has a backhoe and a loader on it some surface rust but not real bad, i understand im really looking at a yanmar most everything under 50 hp in the deere line is yanmar, just wanting some pro's and cons, besides its size before i look at it , reliability and parts availability ect

I've had an 850 for 17 years now, only problems have been a new alternator and water pump. Wish all my tractors did that well. It gets used pretty regularly. Fuel economy is amazing.

thanks, i own it now, its a little rough cosmetically, but not bad, needs 1 wheel rim on the rear, it runs and functions as it should, thats the main thing,

Yanmar built to JD specs, built heavier then regular yanmar. I have a 750 I bought used I had to put a clutch in but good little tractor for the wife to use.
