USAAF War Memorial in Wales

During WW2 there were 7 airfields in Pembrokeshire County on the tip of west Wales. They were bases for British & American air crews who patrolled the sea between Wales, Ireland and south western England.
Sunderland & Catalina flying boats were used against German U Boats.

This memorial with one of the Marauder's propellers is next to the beach at Whitesands near St Davids. The plane crashed into the low rocky hill next to the beach in fog in 1943

Thank you sir for the posting. I started a hobby of building plastic models of things that were part of my life this past winter and it's
continuing today. Surely what possibly you and surely your ancestors went through is part of my collection. I have been to Coventry
and other places of the sort and as I touch each piece of each one I can't help but think of what all went into the equipment that model
replicates from initial concept all the way through the application and final retirement. It's an awesome experience.
