Looking for Salvage Yards

I am currently in need of a few torque amplifier components for my farmall 400. Does anybody know where any salvage yards are within reasonable distance of East Texas. I'm willing to take a short road trip if necessary but would like to stay within a couple hundred miles from home. Thanks.

ight check with Alexanders in Winsboro, tx. Think specialize in Ford, but might be able to point you to some other operation with IH.
 
B&M tractor parts near Taylor (East of Austin) may still have older stuff.

There's also a guy in the same area that has stuff on ebay all the time. He's reasonably and I bought some parts from him before through ebay and didn't have any trouble. He's Cole_Murphy on ebay. He probably has parts that are not listed.

I also know a guy that has a bunch of tractors that he will sell parts off of. He's not a salvage yard and you would have to do all your own wrenching on site or buy a big piece of tractor and take it home. Might not be a bad idea to have a spare carcass to rob parts off of. He's in the Hillsboro area.

Thanks for the help everybody. The parts I'm going to need are the handle and linkages and the clutch forks. Previous owner must have removed all that when the TA went out. I plan to buy a rebuilt unit.
 
If you know what part numbers you need, call Leaman Tractor Parts in Lancaster, Pa. They specialize in IH parts, and can tell you what you can get away with used and what you may need new. 717-464-2874. They can UPS to you in a matter of a couple of days.
