Interesting year for hay

SW Washington like most of the west is in a pretty significant drought. Didn't rain much in May and as of yesterday all my hay is done. Can't remember it ever being done this early as we usually can't get on the fields or are waiting for warmer weather. Probably have never had such good grass hay. The down side is that the yield was down between 10 and 20 percent. Stil nice to be done before July. Time for some other fun.
 
I think here in Central IN we have had measurable rainfall about 10 out of the last 12 days. 2.5 inches in one 6 hour rainfall a week ago. My garden is a weed patch; but I am not going near it wading 6 inches of mud to pull weeds! When it rains it usually lasts at least 2 hours. May have 10 inches in the last 2 weeks. Forecast I am watching right now is rain everyday for the next 7 days. Leaving for 6 days to Hawaii Sunday, & not sad at all the leave this wet weather. Hay is growing out of site here. Bushogged around barn lot last week, & some weeds were the height of the hood on my 94 HP JD 3055 (around 5.5 - 6 feet). Cows wallowing in mud... Its not pretty!!!

I'm mowing all the time in the yard and around the barn and lot. Mowing everywhere but the hay field. Got one done a couple of weeks ago and now I can't get 3 good days for the rest of it.
