$15000.00 farmall m?

I was poking around on fast line just because, and I came across a rusty farmall M. Asking price is $15000.00. They said it has a Shepard diesel in it. I freely admit there is a lot I don't know but other than being repowered with a diesel and an aftermarket hand clutch it looks like every other M I have ever seen. Is a Shepard diesel really worth that? If so what makes it so special? Thanks in advance for your reply.

It was a kit offered by Shepard. Is it worth that? I don't know but how many have you seen?

You can ask what you want all day, but it doesn't mean it will sell. It's only worth something to the buyer.

I know I have seen a lot more tractors on here and elsewhere that guys are asking crazy amounts of money for because they bought in when tractors started getting crazy a couple of years back, spent big $$$ for restoration costs and now that things have cooled they are trying to turn a profit on the tractor. Usually doesn't work that way with a hobby.

Have read that putting a sheppard in an M is best way to make an M an H. That being said the Sheppard is a good engine when properly sized.
