While working in factories for over 40 years in my past life. Break time was always appreciated. All the places I worked had a 10, or 15 minute time for a cup of coffee or a bite to eat, or the smokers have a smoke, in the morning, and afternoon. A few shops had the coffee mess in the work area, and we could have a cup of coffee when we felt like it. A lot of wasted time, but that was the way it was. When I am not on my tractor mowing or discing, I stop for a cup of coffee in the morning, and the after lunch, and in between. Probably 5-6 cups a day. Old habits are hard to brake. When I am on my tractor I hardly never stop, only to take a leak, and have a quick lunch. I started coffee drinking when I was in the Navy. Dropped all the other drinking habits. Any of you drink a lot of coffee? Stan

used to drink a lot of coffee during the day. now the cardiologist says, 2 cups maximum. (if he is not looking.......i sneek in a 3rd cup.) i do get 4 ounces of beef a week.. what the heck is that??? a happy meal??

Coffee is about the only thing I drink (about 3 pots a day). I put away too much of it according to my wife & that's why I have the muscle cramps that I do. I quit drinking alcohol about 30 years ago and water just doesn't do anything for me. Keith

I drink mugs (2 cups per mug) of it in the morning when I am at "the coffeeshop" (here, where else, grin) I drink at least 3 and sometimes 4 if I feel like making another partial pot. Sometimes I get up an hour or two early just to get it going. Got my BP down in low 100's and don't give it a second thought. I drink 8 O'Clock Original brand medium roast. Buy the bean and grind before brewing. Brand has been in my family over 80 years. I think The Great Atlantic % Pacific Tea Company (were local A&P Grocery stores) either came up with the brew or it was (I remember) sold there. I know they had a Red, Yellow, and Brown bag back then. Today it's the Red bag for me......never bitter, make it as black as you want.

WW is the only place that sells it around here now. 2 1/2 # sack was running $14+ and when the coffee scare came out not too long ago....a year maybe......and Juan Valdez slipped on the mountain top and can't work and there was supposed to be a coffee bean famine, WW dropped their price to $12+. Figure that.

I haven't had a cup of coffee since I left my office job back in 1991....do have a Dew most mornings, tho :)

I never got into coffee. I may have had 10 cups of coffee in my life time.I drink water, milk, some tea and juices. I drove truck and never take a break and we would eat on the run. The only time we would stop is to use bathroom and most of the time that was at one of my delivery stops.

I was raised on Coffee. Having a cajun descent coffee was the social drink when mom amd dad had visitors. The children drank coffee milk wich was half and half. When I worked at a chemical plant we worked twelve hour shifts and made an average of 12 to 14 pots a shift.Being 64 years young I cut back from six to eight cups per day to around 4 to reduce trips to the "out house". Still love it anytime.

I have a couple cups in the morning while looking at the paper,,normally each morning, but I'm okay if it don't happen...I drink about 2 Gallons of Ice tea a week,,maybe a Mountain Dew in the afternoon. I have a couple school boys that help in the afternoon and we have a little "Dew" break mid afternoon..

Last 2 summers in high school I worked tug boats on the intercoastal and up "the big muddy" to Vicksburg. Coffee was none other than Community Dark Roast from NOLA and rice WAS the staple of every meal except breakfast. Took me awhile to get used to it but after I got back home, I missed the chicory.

Two cups every morning before I go to milk, while I check up you this crowd. After that coffee consumption depends on what job the day brings. Sometimes I will go all day without another drink of anything till 6 or 7 at night. Then other days, like when it rains too much, I might knock back 8-10 cups in a day.Like to take oranges and apples with me on the tractor. But make no mistake, I love coffee ,always have.

Coffee ! coffee ! I have been meeting with 4 guys every morning at 8 am for years , we drink tons of coffee and are usually wired for the workday L.O.L.

Never have drank coffee.Drink about a gallon and a half a day of water though.Sometimes that is not enough.

when I was working I'd meet 3 or 4 of my non-work related buddies for coffee on Sat and Sun mornings at 7. Now that I'm retired (almost 5 years) we meet 7 days a week at 7. We are all done before 9 and take off to get stuff done. Great buddies we all help each other no matter what. If I'm home after 645 my wife is worried and says you better get out of here and off to "briefing". Oh she's a great wife too! She loves those guys.....and knows that she could call any of them and they would be here to help in 15 minutes day or night. Now to the question--how much coffee do we drink? Really no idea the cup never gets empty in nearly 2 hours. Good thing the gal that owns the restaurant loves us too. We have nearly remodeled her entire house. Still costs us less than $2 each.
