Paint for manure spreader

I want to repaint the inside of my knight box style manure spreader. I'll be removing any loose paint and rust, but wondered if there is any particular primer or paint that will be a better choice to use in protecting the metal in future years. Thanks.

i would think its gonna end up looking like crap pun intended LOL . sorry just had to say that. just made me laugh thinking about it

real farmers and painters can help you more, but I'd like to say...
from working on many old tractors that have spent their life
covered in manure....
nothing can stand up to manure.
From the damage I've seen...I think it rivals battery acid.

With appropriate preparation (cleaning/sanding/sandblasting), use
Rustoleum Rusty Metal Primer first. Then use the Rust-- enamel.

I think anything you put on it, is eventually going to come off, but how long it will take is beyond me...

IF it were mine, I would get it all ready, then take it to someone that can Powder Coat it. BAKE that paint on, so it turns into an enamel. GOOOOOOOOOD stuff!
