Case tractor identification

Double N Hay

New User
Hi guys I am new to old tractors and found this old case on steel, but can not find the model or serial number. I was told it was a 1929 Case, is this correct. It's motor was free according to the previous owner but is not now. The intake manifold is totally rusted through, is this replaceable? How do I know if it is worth getting running? I am not the paint it up pretty type but would be super neat to have running if it is possible. Thanks for any help you can give.

It's definitely a model C as it has the inspection covers on the side of the oil pan. I agree that it is a 1929 model because of the shape of those covers.
Reproduction manifolds are available from Rosewood Machine and Tool for about $650.00.

unless he is going for totally any series d as in dc or CC or another c would be much cheaper than 650$ where is the tractor? fellows on case part of this site close to you would likely have a good manifold that would work . Even tuba case has an old junk D with eagle hitch that he would likely give you. OK OK the d manifold from tubecase is a joke between he and I . Truthfully any C or D series manifold will work.

It has a Kingston carb as the early C's should, but I wonder why it has differential brakes. Possibly a combination of several tractors. BT
