I'm a general contractor and here's some photos of one of our projects, a 50,000 s.f. addition.

This is Laser grader and my 2520 John Deere. The receiver on the "pole" on the back of the grader picks up the laser signal and holds that grade.

Started lifting tilt-up panels yesterday mid morning and finished this morning. The crane is 250 ton and the heaviest panel weighed 98,000 pounds.

Once the steel joists and deck are welded in place we can pull
the braces off. The bottom of the panels are grouted into a
groove that's cast in the concrete footing. The panels are also
welded to each other with what we call a butterfly clip. There
is a lot of steel embedded items in the panels that the steel
structure will be welded to. Because the building is so long
compared to the width, the panels you see kind of in the
middle are sheer wall panels and those panels are almost a
foot thick. They are the heaviest ones. There is about a
three-quarter inch space between the panels and that is
sealed with the backer rod and then a sealant over the top.
