Gold finch

While changing oil today I heard a racket outside. Then I saw a Gold Finch land on the yellow terramite. It was kinda of going nuts over it, landing in many places. I tried many times to get a pic but it wouldn't stay in any one place long enough for the camera to work. Then it went inside the pole barn. Every time it landed I tried to get a pic and camera was too slow.

It landed on the muffler of the Farmall C. Good thing it hadn't been running today. I thought for a minute I would have to get the Finch out of the muffler. Sorry, for the poor pic quality, it was the best one out of many.

Yesterday a goldfinch was harassing a crow. It was determined to pester it into leaving. Two grackles came by and helped and within one minute the crow made for the river (two blocks away) the finch was fearless and quick. Jim
 
The goldfinch came back to the pole barn today. He talked a lot, landed on muffler again. Checked out the barn again, then flew off.

There is a basketball goal set up outside the barn. He likes to land on it too.

May need to make a bird house for it.
