i need a honest tractor mechanic in oklahoma to work on a john deere 2040 tractor wont start i think the injection pump went bad it has been sittiing in afield for a while before i bought it

Tim S is in Ohio so it would be too far away to be financially practical other than sending Tim the pump to work on. I suppose if someone wanted to make a vacation excursion out of it the OP could trailer the tractor to Ohio then make arrangements while Tim works on the tractor. I like Tim a lot but it just seems practical to seek out another option.

Is this a 3 cyl model? If so is fuel shut off cable pushed in and arm it attaches to on inj pump rotated fully? Do you have good fuel flow to inj pump?
