Hydraulic cylinder rebuild question

I have rebuilt probly 50 cylinders with good luck no leaks. I have one now I rebuilt everything looks good and clean was real easy going back
together. It stated leaking after a couple of minutes so I took it off thinking maybe I did something wrong everything still looked good well it still
leaked. So I took it back off and had a hydraulic shop look at it and rebuild it they said it all looks good. It still leaks. Do I just need them to
make me a cylinder or buy a after market one? It is on a Kubota L 235 tractor with 400 loader. It is on the loader not the bucket.

How bad is the leak, and where is it leaking? If it's around the rod there are a couple of things that can be wrong.

Usually it's a bad spot on the rod causing the leak. Too if the rods is bent it can cause a leak.

Another, not quite so common thing is when the head of the cylinder acts as it's own bushing, and the movement of the rod back and forth wears the hole out. With the hole oversized, the movement of the rod becomes greater than the seal can make up for, thus it begins to leak.

It is leaking right around the rod. It drips pretty good. Rod is not bent and you can't see a bad spot on it. The hydraulic shop even confirmed that it looked good. I will take it back to them tomorrow and see what they say.

Maybe when they dismantle it they"ll find a seal was pinched upon assembly? Or if multiple seals, in wrong order or facing the wrong way? Check the seal profile against the assembly diagram. Is it leaking in both directions of the ram?

Been around KUBOTA for about 30 years and I would bet someone gave you a wrong seal kit. Real easy to happen on those older loaders. Some back up rings there in that head that can go in wrong.
