They don't care about your electric fence because they jump over and don't touch the fence. Raise your fence higher until they can't jump over it. Then you can unplug the electricity unless you have small critters you also want to keep out.

We take lengths of tin foil and wrap around the wire then slather on the peanut butter. After a few nibbles of electricity they won't bother the punkins any more.

My neighbor puts 2 fences up, about 3 ft from each other. Says deer won't jump.

Deer need a very high fence as was noted in another post. Your average TSC solar fencer is okay for well trained horses but not much else.

Yep. We only use the Gallaghers if we don't have a sta-fix or Parmak available.

Try VicS's suggestions. Two low fences with a three foot space between them. That is what I have heard will work.

That is not entirely true, deer do not like to jump over a fence into a small space, so depends on the size of the garden.
