Cleaning tractor with oven cleaner

I read on this sight that oven cleaner does a good job on a greasy tractor, so I tried it and was amazed how well it worked. I sprayed it on the worse areas first then after 15 min sprayed it off with the hose. Mr. Ed is a early 8n and is not a trailer queen he earns his keep hauling cord wood out of the woods, raking the driveway and snow removal as well as hay rides for grand kids and any other jobs we come up with. But he does go to a few tractor meets and we are going to Vermont on June 22nd for a tractor show at the assisted living facility that my Father in law is now living at. I know Dad will be glad to see Mr. Ed again he originally was owned by dads good friend and neighbor Ed Merick . The first picture is Ed Merick on his tractor as it looked when I bought it and second is Mr. Ed at a tractor meet last summer. Mr. Ed will look pretty good thanks to the oven cleaner tip. I may bring the tractor jack to the show it was a big hit last summer.

just remember oven cleaner will remove paint , so don't use it to clean up one with nice paint or you will be in for a bad day.

Gundoctor I made a mistake on the date it is on 6-21 Sunday at Cedar Hill continuing care community Cedar Hill drive Windsor Vt. hope to see you there.

I painted it and added the fenders soon after purchasing it it in 2007 the lights came a little later. The oven cleaner was today and I only left it on a short while before hitting it with water. No paint came off just grease so I guess I was lucky.

I might add, overn cleaner is high caustic and will eat electrical wiring connections and any thing aluminum...so be sure to wash it with plenty of soap and water.
