Moles dig tunnels so you should always see the raised tunneling along with dirt mounds around the holes. The dirt mounds are excavated dirt from making the tunnels. Voles do not leave dirt mounds, only holes

I have a hole like that in my yard. I watched a chipmunk go in and out of it.

in my area, that would be a chipmunk hole.
If anywhere near a building or my house foundation (stacked stone), it would also be a call to battle.

Looks quite small. In my area it would propably just be a mouse.
