I actually tripped over this yesterday in an abandoned yard
it looks home made to a point
but the frame was manufactured and the grill and the support looks factory
the drive is an open gear inside a large dish like gear with square holes sort of a reverse gear drive I seen on steam engines and oil pulls
still had the front steering linkages and drag link but nothing else visable so not sure if it was a steering box or a handle like thing like on very early autos
might go back and snag it to see what I can make of it

I do not know the brand or Manufacture but I would snag it just as it look like some thing your could make into many little things.

To me it looks like a mixture of factory pieces all put together to make on big piece. Looks pretty neat.

If it was a manufactured device it has been subjected to some radical modifications (not all of them in the interest of preserving its identity. A real choice to make is whether to scrap, yard art, or add more go fast parts. (it needs some of that real bad). Jim

owner contacted me to clean up the mess
I figured after 4 hours walking the property about 5 acres that I only saw about 10% of what's there
if I take on this mess I might keep this and see what I can do with it
