I belive it is a lime spreader. used to put lime on the fields. many used them for fertilizer. we even used ours to seed grass. didnt think much about all the time it took to spread fertilizer with it when you bought it in 80 pound bags. but it is so much faster with a bulk spreader. like a plow it may still come in handy in some way.

Sorry for picture quality my phone is about 6 years old. Anyways I will get some better pictures tomorrow it is rainy today.. I think I am missing a way of metering the fertilizer I believe they are just open holes with a beater inside.
Thanks
Mike

We had one much like that, I imagine my cousin still has it- that being an IH lime/fert. spreader. There was a long handle up near the front of the tongue so you could shut the slide from the tractor. The rate was adjusted with a stop on the slide mechanism. There was a grass seeder on the front.

dad bought 1 new, used it 1 time parked it in the fence row, it was stolen along with every other piece of machinery mom had. I have seen several of them sell at farm sales--never bought more than $25.00 each
