Have a slight knock in second gear when driving?? Is this something that can be repaired by taking the side cover off or have to split the body??

If the knock is 4 per second at 1/2 throttle or so, it is likely a broken tooth in the trans. It is not going to be fixed from an access panel or top of trans. It could be diagnosed from there, but gear removal requires a split of the tractor IIRC. Jim
