I have an old trailer mounted air compressor. It has a 3 cylinder Duetz diesel. I'm not sure what brand the compressor itself is. I have a bad oil leak on the compressor and haven't been able to find a service manual. Has anyone ever torn into a 100cfm compressor before? I have no idea how simple or complicated they are. I wouldn't think it would be to complicated.

Is it a reciprocating or screw compressor? Oil leak as in leaking on the ground or blowing oil into the air supply?

A recip compressor would follow along the same design as an engine.

Screw compressors are different, the "air in" component, where the moving parts are, usually require factory only service, very close tolerances, unforgiving of shortcuts. There is an oil separator filter, looks like a big air filter inside a tank. If it's collapsed, it will pump oil into the air stream.

Either way, get ready to spend a ton of money!!! Compressor parts are ridiculous beyond reality!

retty sure it's a screw type. It's just leaking oil onto the ground. The motor has some leaks also. I tried looking for a service manual for the motor but didn't have any luck last time. I'll post some pics this weekend when I take it out of storage.
