Milk dumping in Michigan?

Did anybody else see this story? Does anybody in another state know of any instance of milk being dumped like this dope says in the story says?
Number one,the dumping scene is shot with a cell phone. Number two,the milk is being dumped from a tanker, not from the guys bulk tank in the barn. Number three,if he was a member of Michigan Milk Producers Association,he'd have a guaranteed market.
Either this guy is a member of NFO and they're pulling another "milk dumping protest" or more likely, that load tested antibiotic positive and had to be disposed of. With that station being nothing but televised social media,I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it was from Youtube and they thought it was the truth and ran with it.
Somebody tell me this ISN'T an antibiotic dump that was made in to some kind of viral video attempt?
The news story

I read something about 6 months ago about a milk glut in the northeast.
DFA was taking like $0.50 from farmers to cover cost of finding a home and extra trucking.

Farmers are bad about shooting themselves in the foot.
Have high prices one year; lets up production; followed by a glut and lower prices the next year.

But I got to agree.
If he is dumping it....
It is either a antibiotic dump
Or he is protesting lower prices and or higher trucking cost to a out of state market.

I posted a couple weeks ago about a similar situation with a twelve member coop. The twelve members are the best of the best in this part of central NY. They narrowly averted haveing to dump their milk, due to loss of market. This problem is becomeing very serious here as the NE market shrinks and production continues to expand. People are consumeing much less milk and dairy products in the US. except for yougert, the only bright spot, but that market is becomeing saturated also. US exports of dairy products have also dropped.

First i heard about it , BUT i did hear where several guys got axed from where they were shipping milk to . Now this is hear say and i have not talked to my one buddy who is still milking . And my other friend has said nothing about it and he runs about a 100 head thru the parlor three times a day. But i will ask John Boy and Vernon tomorrow .

Well from what I heard from the milkman 2 or 3 weeks ago the Michigan Milk plant in Ovid had to much milk. They can process 5 million lbs. a day and took in 8 million lbs. At 10:30 that night they shut the plant down to wash and didn't start back up until 4:00 am the next morning and anybody that was left in line from the night before dumped the milk in lagoons. It kinda sounds like to me they are takeing on to many producers that ship large amounts of milk and can't process all of it. Also heard guy's up around Mcbain area are paying a $2 a hundred destination fee. I don't know if it's true though.

There was a tanker load dumped near here a few days ago. An old geezer who shouldn't be driving pulled out in front of a tanker. The truck caught the rear of the car and rolled the tanker over in the ditch.

It just doesn't sound right to me. Maybe a DFA thing or something. I know in other times of surplus, there've been tankers from as far away as New Mexico at the Allendale plant. I've gotta think if it was MMPA,they'd get it marketed somewhere.
The guy made it sound like it was his decision or that he was singled out,but like I said, that's a tanker that's being dumped in the video.

mmpa's manager sent out an e-mail on 5-18 saying that they were dumping milk. too much milk coupled with unforeseen problems at some plants made it the only feasible solution. and it sounded like it was certain haulers based on location and the co-op bites the bullet, not the producers as individuals.

I have no idea about this video , But there is at this time a world surplus of milk. Milk products on the world market are at a all time low. I feel remorse for the family farms getting squeezed by this, but the problem is a result of over production. Quota system in Europe has been dismantled , and those producers have doubled and tripled their production, and with sanctions again Russia, it all has no place to go. I understand why many of you don"t like our Quota system we have here in Canada, but I am very grateful to have it . Our prices are down only slightly. Bruce

sounds like a direct adverse reaction due to the Dutch Farmers over producing on minimal land... Have one near me that has more than doubled their production on approximately 5 acres, almost completely covered by barns and two huge milk parlors.... with this maybe they will go out of business.

We had 8 producers in my area who lost their market and only found a new place to ship on the day their old buyer cut them off. A year ago it was a sellers market. Right now it's a buyers market and if you have a place to sell your milk, you better not make any waves or burn any bridges.
