Wow John, great minds think alike! I was just coming in here to look up that same clip and post it. In my opinion the all time best of the returning soldier surprise videos. For those of us who like a variety of music, Roger Waters (of Pink Floyd) played that video during his "The Wall" performance on the most recent tour. It's good on Youtube, better shown on an arena size screen with dramatic music playing. Glad someone got that one up on the forum!

There are like 1000 of those military homecoming videos on You Tube, but I like this one. Another has a little 3 yr old girl and its very touching also. I'm a baby boomer begotten when dads came home after WW II and all the Uncles and Dads who were WW II Veterans, the "Greatest Generation", are dead and gone now but not forgotten. I just dont think the Jane Fonda and Rosie ODonnell and Barbra Streisand and Shawn Penn Hollywood types think like the Veterans of the "Greatest Generation"

But let us not forget the true meaning for today.

Today is not the start of summer; it is not BBQ day; and it is not Veterans day.
I am a veteran with a medical discharge; And I in no way would want you to honor me today.

Today is for those that gave all to protect us here at home.
Many of them in graves on another continent or still listed as MIA.

I AGREE that's why I posted it (the video) was more for Veterans day. I still thank all vets and God Bless them and thank you for your service.
