Just thought of this. In Huterdon cty NJ we used to have Dairy days. It would be on father days weekend. I used to drive a tractor and bale wagon with hay bales to sit on. One of the county dairys would host it. Does anyone do this anymore? I used to enjoy driving and a lot of people got a kick out of the farm. Last one that I did was about 2001 0r so.

We do one at Preston's Dairy here in Branch County on Labor Day every year. I have been hauling guests around with one of my antique tractors for the last 5 years. We usually have around 500 attend.

Our milk committee is working to set up a "open barn" tour for the end of June. we expect to get around 800-1000 folks. The host farm is very near a large city. We will give way milk and ice cream to all comers, free entry. These events take a lot of work to set up , and a lot of volunteers on the day of the tour.

The thing is that I do not think there are any left in NJ. Ice cream and chocolate milk till you couldn't drink any more. I miss them.

In SW Wisconsin, the individual countys hold a Dairy Breakfast on someones farm, my county (Grant) has theirs at the fairgrounds every year. Crawford county is having theirs on the farm that Orion Samuelson grew up on, and he said he is going to be there, so I might go meet him.
